This unit has been relatively unused, particularly since I became ill. Some house members (particularly Arthur the Flemish Giant Rabbit) don't tolerate loud music well so I've been using headphones and computer files. The Sony is beloved by us, and we spent lots of time evaluating and enjoying it as it broke in. After at least 500 hours break in (long but worth it), the flat and bright sound went away leaving a 3D, smooth, detailed presentation. We were stunned and grateful with the reward for our patience. Listened side by side in my house to a top modded unit and found the stock one superior (even though it wasn't done breaking in). CD is presented with nearly as much quality as SACD, with the differences in SACD capabilities being the only thing missing from CD: less sense of size, fluidity, and lack of any grain or artificiality (good recordings of course). No wonder Stereophile currently has it on their "Class A" list. And price can't be beat. Prefer to sell locally as I am told by doctors not to lift over 10 lb, but I have friends to help when shipping time comes. I'm pretty sure I have original packaging. Shipping depends on location and the type of service you want. Pictures to the right are generic from Sony. I'd be willing to give you pics of my unit... just difficult at the moment. Before shipping I will test all functions so that any failures will be clearly from shipping damage will be covered by insurance.
