This circa 1995 used Theta Digital DSPro Basic IIIa 20 bit D/A converter was traded in by its original owner! Purchased new by him in 1995 and then upgraded in 2002 to IIIa status (see attached picture of factory invoice reflecting the upgrade of this unit). Repaired once when just a few months old to repair of noisy transformer issue (not to do with the performance of the DAC - see attached picture of repair documentation). Unit still works perfectly and sounds good! This version of the DSP Pro Basic (IIIa) was very favorably reviewed and highly rated in its time... this was considered one of the best sounding DACs that Theta made. Retail new was over $2,600. Cosmetic shape for a 15+ years old piece of gear is really good - see pic.
