This is a professional grade RTA made by NEI Electronics.It is a rack-mount unit. It has a built-in Pink Noise source, and comes with a calibrated condenser microphone. (not shown). I added phantom power for the condenser mic years ago. These are useful for bands, sound contractors, installers, etc. for tuning the frequency response of a system in a room. You can also use it as a bench instrument to test equalizers, crossovers, etc. In the second photo, it is connected to itself, reading it's internal pink noise source. In the third photo, it is connected to an EQ, displaying the curve set on the EQ. In the fourth photo, it is connected to the Low-pass output of an electronic crossover set at 1 kHz, showing the rolloff. This unit cost over $1,500.00 new, not including the rack case.
