I purchased this P7 used two years ago from the original owner and it has performed flawlessly.
I can no longer justify owning multiple turntables. I barely have time to enjoy one of them.
The tuntable is rated "8" because of age. Serial #: 363773.
Not pictured is the dustcover, I never used it and there are no scatches or swirls. Paint is worn away where the cartridge screws meet the tonearm. You have to remove the cartridge to see it.
I had the tonearm re-wired by Carol Galen Audio. Incognito Kit (Cardas), one continuous piece with a ground wire.
Phono cartridge output is a mere fraction of line level output. At $300 the re-wire was a significant improvement in playback. The counterweight has been replaced with a heavier Pete Riggle CCM, $75. Also, two Rega 2mm tonearm shims are included, $39 ea. These three uprades/improvements let the owner enjoy a wide variety of high-end cartridges with no sacrifices in performance.
This is a two belt design with an alloy sub-platter. Two white Rega belts (upgrade) are included, $60 ea.
The TTPSU is standard on the P7.
It has been said the white ceramic platter was about a 1/3 of the production cost of this turntable, not something Rega will likely due again.
