I bought this new from Audio Advisor a couple of years ago when I switched from an integrated amp to seperates and immediately realized two things: Loved the sound, and I really missed having a remote. So I bought a used SA-31MK and the SA-31 was retired after maybe six weeks of use. I've held onto it as a backup but veterinarian bills are piling up so it's time to let it go. This uses two 6N1P tubes in the output stage but is otherwise solid state. To my ears, Vincent's hybrid designs really do manage to make the most of the combination. It's line stage only with no input marked for AUX, and I used the tuner input for my phono stages. These now retail for $799.99. I paid $750. A demo model is available online now for $699.99. So $425 seems fair. This comes in original packaging with AC cord and the Vincent interconnects that come packaged with their preamps. Manual included. For best sound quality, the output stage operates in pure 'Class A.' The SA-31 is equipped with highly precise potentiometers from ALPS for ultra-quiet, accurate tone and amplitude adjustment. The monoblock design in the amplifier sections for left and right channels help to achieve the best possible signal-to-noise ratio. Four inputs give you the capability of connecting a tuner, CD player, tape deck, and more. A record out connection add to the flexibility. An extra preamp output gives you a convenient path for bi-amping your speakers. In addition to the set of high-quality tone controls, the SA-31 includes a loudness switch for big dynamics even at low volume levels.
