Review of Heart CD600 |

The Heart CD6000 is a Marantz CD6000 with a tubed output stage and improved output filter. The original tubes were replaced with Amperex 6922 PQs (nos) and I changed the captive PC to an IEC. The Heart CD compared very favorably to the Ah Tjoeb 4000.
I listed the condition as 9/10 but there are no cosmetic flaws except in the rear where I added the IEC. The original remote went missing as I have been using a "Master Remote". This is really no biggie as the remote functions are limited to mute, start/pause/stop and track selectiion. The manufacturer recommends leaving the the volume at maximum and adjusting via the preamp. Also the manufacturer disabled the headphone output jack as they felt it degraded the outuput. The unit will ship in the original box with the Marantz 6000 Manual. Shipping price with be the actual cost rounded up to the nearest dollar.
