Up for sale from my audiophile collection is a pair of mono-block SET amplifiers. Designed and hand built in the USA by Audio Mirror. They have been my winter time amps in a high end system for the past 5 years. They do get warm so were only used for about 4 months each year during the northern Ohio winters.Mated with a Lamm preamp and then an Aesthetix Calypso they drove my Ascendo Renaissance C8 speakers.

IMHO the sound quality they produce is far beyond their current MSRP of $4999. Producing a rich full bodied sound with excellent timbre, tonality and full bass. They would be much more expensive if you were not buying direct from the maker. The designer / builder Vlad Basekov is knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with.

Based on the excellent Russian power tube, 6C33C. Each mono has a 6SL7 input tube and a 6SN7 driver tube and 2 each of 6C33C-B running in parallel. They produce 45 watts/channel of power.

They are self bias, which I check once after initial day of play and then again in about 2 months. They hold their bias very well. I spoke with Vlad about updating them to his current version with auto-bias and he quoted me $500. Because I enjoy the sound so much and the bias is very easy, I never had the upgrade done.

I do need to mention that I had a resistor replaced 3 years ago. And ever since then 1 of the 4 power tubes runs at a higher bias the the other 3 . I'm not certain what has caused this (that tube has more wear?, the new replacement resistor?, the bias adjustment knob?) But the amp has played flawlessly with the same wonderful sound quality and without issue so I never looked into what was causing it.

Because of this I am listing them at the bargain price of $1350

So a story; When I took the amps in to my local technician (Play it again Sam in Lakewood, OH) where we auditioned them along side a BAT VK55 push pull amp that also uses the 6C33C power tubes (a nice amp in it's own right). The difference in sound quality was very noticeable by all 4 of us. The AudioMirror was significantly better in all regards. Maybe not fair, comparing a powerful SET amp with a 55W push pull amp, but showed just how good it was when compared to a highly regarded mainstream amp.

Cosmetically they are 8/10 (I don't see any dings or marks) They function 100%, other the the 1 tube bias situation.

Each amp is 9 x 18 x 9 and weighs 46lbs. Include in the sale is an expensive & excellent collection of NOS tubes that have been in the amp. All of them have many hours of service remaining. Also included is a full replacement set of 4 - 1970's vintage NOS Military grade 6C33C - B tubes.

Feel free to ask any questions. Buy with full confidence, see my 15 + years of 100% feedback at AGon & Ebay! Retired now and selling off the entire system.

They will be very securely boxed. There will be 3 boxes, 1 ea. amp and 1 for tubes. The buyer will pay the actual insured ground shipping fee that Fedex charges. Please add 3% if you use PP.
