I am selling an AudioSilente idler wheel for Garrard 401 or Garrard 301. It will fit perfectly these two models, it will not fit anything else. I tried this in my Garrard 401 and it worked perfectly. It fit right away and was dead silent. Speed was right on. I liked certain things better than with the stock wheel and I preferred the stock wheel for other things. Bass was more prominent with the AudioSilente wheel. The original Garrard wheel was a bit more lively. However, it should be noted that my original idler wheel was reconditioned by Steve Dobbins, who revised the turntable for me and built my plinth, using a special process. My Garrard idler wheel was pretty much perfect to start with. Because of that, I didn’t feel the AudioSilente wheel was a real upgrade, it was more of a sideways move. If your idler wheel on the other hand is not in perfect condition (and most are not at this point), I would think the AudioSilente wheel will be a massive improvement. Most people rave about it online. It’s clearly a high quality, well thought out product. The wheel is essentially new, it was in my system for 2 hours or so and is in the original packaging with instructions and extra bushings that weren’t necessary in my case. Selling for $80 with US domestic shipping included (instead of $110 + shipping from Italy). Paypal payment adds 4%, I'll take a check otherwise.
