One of the rare and highly prized MM cartridges from Audio Technica. Hours are unknown on the stylus, so assume it needs to be replaced. Stock beryllium cantilever is still intact, so a diamond replacement can be done. Andy's Needle Clinic is a good choice for this.Cartridge can also take stylus from the 150MLX, the 120 series, and the 440ML cartridge. I believe Stereoneedles.com or turntableneedles.com have a small supply of NOS stock stylus. My turntable plans have changed, and i am passing this cartridge on at my acquisition cost. This cartridge is every bit as good as the current 150MLX, and you can get into this cartridge for cheaper. One thing to add. This afternoon I installed the cartridge on my table, did an alignment and thoroughly cleaned the stylus. Actually plays perfectly, and no inner groove distortions or mistracking. I do not have magnification that allows me to evaluate stylus condition, so I cannot say how much wear the diamond has. You may very well be able to get a lot more hours out of this stylus, but I cannot make that determination. I do know that this is the stock beryllium cantilever, and it can be retipped. Which is a good thing since the NOS supplies of beryllium cantilevers will eventually disappear. At this price you pay USPS Priority shipping Note: Had an old email addy in my AA account. Has been updated and emails can now reach me.
