For Sale: Quicksilver GLA tube amplifier. Beautiful sounding, solid built amplifier. Huge transformers. Point-to-point wired. Rated at 40 watts per channel.
The amp comes fitted with vintage old stock 12Ax7 and 6Dj8 small tubes, as well as a quad of Chinese EL-34s to get you started. The GLA is auto-biased for easy tube rolling and you will want to experiment with your favorite power tubes of this general type. The speaker connectors can be switched b/w 1, 4 and 8 ohm by using the various marked terminals on each side (see 4th photo). The GLA is in very good working condition, but the cosmetics have some issues (see photos). the "marks" on the right side of the front panel are tape residue - i did not scrub hard at it preferring it to potentially scarring the paint underneath. Comes with cage, original manual. Quicksilver is known for customer service and has been very responsive the few times i contacted them (to ask about tube types etc). Factoring the excellent performance, the age, and cosmetics issues, I am rating it at 6/10.
