Deciding to get back into analog after almost 25 years has been incredibly rewarding. Even with my modest setup (Pro-ject RPM1 turntable with a Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge) I realize that I was missing something that I once loved. Digital convenience for me had run it course. The only disappointment I found was the price of the cleaning solutions. So, with little searching, I found the London Jazz Collector record cleaning machine fluid recipe;
800 ml Distilled water (99%)
200 ml Isopropyl (99%)
5 ml Ilford Ilfotol Great, So I've ordered both the Isopropyl and the Ilford Ilfotol on line at a cost of a little over $40. $3 for a litre measuring cup and $3 for the syringe to measure out the 5 ml of Ilford Ilfotol. Distilled water $3. That's about 50 bucks of investment to make up 4000 ml of solution. That's roughly 135 ounces of solution or eight 16oz portions. So here's the deal, add in the cost of a 16oz plastic container, I want two of the eight for my efforts so that leaves 6 that I will sell for $10 each plus shipping. I have no interest in creating a business selling cleaner, all I want is basically my investment back and a supply of solution. As soon as the products arrive, I will post a photo of all solutions and measuring devices to be used. If you are interested in this opportunity, please let me know.
