UPDATE: i did find a scheme how to hook it up and i did. I used my Yamaha CR series receiver and MK speaker and sub plus this crossover.
Everything is working fine, no weird sounds, hum or anything. Actually it is dead quiet. All knobs working smooth and quiet.Hello don`t know too much about this item and don`t even have the chance to hooked it up.It looks like new to me. This is what i find online about it: Description :
The M&K LP-1S gives the user's system full bass biamplification with his M&K powered subwoofer. The LP-1S uses purely passive circuitry, introducing virtually no noise or distortion. There is no low pass filter in the LP-1S. It feeds a full range signal to the user's subwoofer. The filter circuit in his M&K powered subwoofer matches the high-pass of the LP-1S and requires no additional circuitry. Since the LP-1S is small, it can be placed almost anywhere it fits conveniently around the audio system. It is sensitive to hum, however, so it cannot be placed next to a power transformer. If the LP-1S sits too close to such a transformer(like the power amp or receiver), it will pick up the hum. Relocation is needed if the hum is heard through the system. The M&K LP-1S High Pass Filter has a 80Hz crossover point so set the M&K subwoofers low pass filters to just under 80Hz is ideal. After some level matching, the user should hear details that he didn't hear before and everything seems more dynamic and better balanced. It is a definite improvement for a moderate cost.
