These are real super tweeters with no response below 15 k Hz. Many have said that one cannot hear this. I know that this is wrong as at a Consumer Electronics Show, I heard and interesting demonstration.
By snooping around, I found this demonstration. About twenty of us sat and head a nice speaker. We then heard the same music with the Muratas on. Everyone said it was quite an improvement. Then we heard it again with the Muratas out. There was much buzz among us with all of us exclaiming the superiority of the sound with the Muratas in. Finally, one man said "What do the Muratas sound like without the speakers. The demonstrator said you have been listening to them for about five minutes. Everyone turned to listen to what none of us had noticed. All we heard was pops, clicks, and zips. No music was to be heard. Much confusion was evident in the audience. I bought a pair on the spot. Everyone had heard the superiority of the reproduced sound with the Muratas in. That was enough for me.
Why you asked am I selling them now. For one my ribbon tweeters extend out to 100k Hz and two, I have outboard crossovers with a long distance from them to the top of the BMC Arcadia speakers.
Because these tweeters emit toxic emissions during manufacturing they are not made any longer. There are no emissions in using them now.
