Used FetValve 600R amp by Audio by Van Alstine. This unit has silver front plate. conservative 8/10. minor scratches near 2 screws on either side that are hardly visible. No scratches on the front plate. Absolutely no issues with this amp. 3.5 years old. I biamp this AVA amp and a vintage HK amp to drive magnepans. In the end, the wife does not like the mixed appearance of black front plate HK amp and a silver plate AVA amp. The sound however is amazing. Tightest bass I've ever heard, including Parasound Halo A21's and Bryston 7Bsst2's in my experience. Powerful and very even frequency response. Great American made gear that is built to last. Frank Van Alstine has excellent customer service. I did tube roll with this gear and own 3 sets of tubes. original JJ tubes, Amperex, and Mullard. I like the Mullards the best. Will include all three sets since I have no use for them.
