For your consideration a very fine sounding MODIFIED Hafler XL 600 in very good condition.Modifications are: 1 Reduced the gain to 20 dB from the original 26dB, meaning the amp has voltage gain of 10 instead of 20. 2 In doing so, front end circuit is modified to accommodate the phase margin needed for low gain setting. 3 The cooling fan is replaced with a 12V DC fan. The idea is to reduce the mechanical and air dynamic noise. The original fan runs on 48V and it cannot be setup to run low speed because it would stall. 4 The output speaker protection relay is bypassed. The amp is extremely stable and essentially never fails so I thought the speaker protection circuit is not needed. Will consider trades for similarly priced phono preamp or Class D amplifier in excellent working condition and appearance.
