This is a Marantz 2440 Quad amplifier. This is for a 2 channel Marantz receiver, or most any other 2 channel receiver to make it a quad receiver. The Marantz 2440 is in very excellent shape. The all metal wood grain top is clean, and looks good. The 2440 face is nice, the all original knobs, and controls are there. They all have been cleaned and lubed. The 2440 was tested with the Marantz 2220B I have for sale in another ad. The 2440 worked well! The 2440 takes a Marantz SQA-1 or SQA-2 quad adapter in the bottom of the unit(not included). The 2240 performed very well with the 2220B, most all the quad settings worked great. Some will not, because I do not have a quad turntable or a quad reel to reel. The manual is free from HIFI Engine and explains it all. Very nice and rare Marantz, I can demo the 2440 before you decide. I am in Oak Creek, 53154.
