Conrad Johnson makes some of the best vacuum tube amps and preamps in the world. In the 1980s, they decided to create a line of ultra-premium quality Solid State equipment that would utilize FET transistors to impart a tube-like sound to solid state amps and pres.

These products were marketed under the MOTIF brand name, and had construction quality second-to-none, with great metal work, tiffany connectors, clean signal paths, etc., etc.

They got what they were looking for: a tube-like sound coming out of solid state amplifier: a bass amazingly full and highs smoother than quite compare to tube electronics.

This amplifier is rated at 50 Watts per channel, but it sounds much louder than that.

The amp I am selling is in very nice shape, with a scratch on the top (see photo) that is not too big.

The face looks very nice. It’s not MINT, but it looks really good.

Reasons for selling: I had too many amps and, near retirement, I have to sell some of them. I will keep my Supratek Malbec monos and sell this one. Add 3% if you pay via Paypal.
