The amp successfully blends the warmth of tubes with the practicality of solid state. The Classic One is a Hybrid design, marrying tubes and solid state. The preamp stage is purely tube, balanced, pure Class A, extremely low noise, with high intrinsic linearity and without any feedback. The output stage is solid state, high bias current, Class A/AB and produces a stout 70 watts per channel, enough to adequately drive most any load. The transistors provide the speed and dynamics, while the tubes add warmth, refinement and dimensionality. To further optimize performance, each section is electrically isolated from the other through the use of separate power supplies. The volume control is motorized and remote controlled; the remote itself is of solid wood. Power supplies are over-sized and stabilized. Selected components, pure silver Pathos signal cable wiring, gold plated terminals, high quality materials, and refinement at its highest standard are additional benefits provided with the Classic One Mk III. Together with such sound performance and overall quality, the Classic One Mk III is offered at a price that clearly demonstrates a philosophy of value for money. REVIEWS: "Overall the Pathos ClassicOne mk.III is one of those rare components that achieves a perfect balance of performance, style and value. Thanks to the small tube compliment, you will not have to worry about sourcing tubes, either. The 6922 and it’s variants are very plentiful at reasonable cost, and I don’t imagine the ClassicOne going through tubes in a hurry, so probably a new pair every five years or so should keep you running along just fine. Whether you are a mega audiophile putting together a second system, or a music lover that doesn’t want to sacrifice aesthetics for performance, this amplifier will keep both sides of your brain very happy." - Jeff Dorgay, Tone Publications SPECIFICATIONS: Type: Integrated amplifier with remote in Class A/AB, hybrid circuit with input tube stage, bridgeable Output Power: 2 x 70W @ 8 Ohm, 2 x 130W @ 4 Ohm Inputs: 5 line, including one balanced (XLR) Frequency response: 2Hz ÷ 100kHz THD: <0.05% Signal/noise ratio: 90dB Input impedance: 100kΩ Please add 4% for PayPal
