Pair of Altec 1570B power amps. These produce 165 watts each using a pair of 811A output triodes!Tube complement is 4 5R4s, 2 811A, 1 12AX7, 1 6SN7, and 2 6W6 (triode strapped as drivers). The pair we have is rusty, untested, and needing a total rebuild. Further, they use a 900 volt power supply, so working on these is not for the faint of heart, or those with faint hearts. We've tested the tubes, and MOST are good. One of the 811A had a loose base and was testing intermittent, and was discarded. Two of the 5R4s had open heaters and we'll replace them. Basically, we'll furnish the amp with all good tubes except the 811A. These amps absolutely need to be rebuilt before use. We haven't fired these up. With 900 volts B+ we're not going to. But if you're looking for a ridiculously powerful push-pull triode amp, here you go! Shipping is expensive due to weight and the care needed to pack them.
