Another Price drop! I bought this 300b w/punch SET Assemblage SE (factory built) back in May 2012 and I was able to pin down a bit more info by going into my mail and finding communication with previous owner. He had bought this from Parts Connection only months before and I had considered buying it myself when it was listed and wound up buying it from him instead. I was informed by previous owner in one of our communications that the output transformers were custom made by Hammond for PartsX. I can believe it. I was quite taken aback upon receiving this amp re/its weight for an amp at this price point and being an SET. 50lbs!
It has been run by me for easily under 40 hrs since here. I hope to be making a major move out of the city soon and this would be one less heavy component to have deal with and I am also not using it much is my reason for selling.

All tubes just tested in my calibrated Hickok 752A and are good.
This is the SE and has upgrades of which can be noted in the assembly manual with comes with this amp. I rechecked inside to see what the outputs are wired up for (4 ohms) and can be changed to either 8 or 16 ohm. A bit of soldering involved and the manual gives clear instructions of what wire goes where. I forgot to snap a pic of the internals and not about to pull the amp out of its custom poly foam insert in the box. I do remember seeing some Jenson main caps in there. The back apron shows the upgraded binding posts and RCA connectors I believe. Mute switch which is barely discernible because of angle is handy to have. Upgraded E.A.R.rubber feet. The speaker hook up wires inside are obviously the silver upgrade. Various resistor and cap upgrades.
While the factory insert and box are being used I am going to put another box over the original to ensure strength of the overall package. I am also going to beef up the internal padding. This is going to cost a bit to ship and may need to ship tubes separately. Will see as I continue to finish up on the boxing. Local pick up would be great.
