I'm selling my nearly pristine Conrad-Johnson MV-75 vacuum tube amplifier. I bought it new around 1980, had it updated by C-J to the MV-75A-1 specification, then later had it updated further by its co-designer, C-J employee #3, 20 year technical director, and good guy Bill Thalmann. The amplifier is outstanding. It sounds and looks great. Has the optional tube cage. I'll include a complete tube complement, either an OE complement (late production GE JAN 5751 input tube, two late production GE or Sylvania 6FQ7s driver/splitter tubes, and four GE 6550A or SED 6550C output tubes) or the complement I'm using now that sounds outstanding (a mil contract Sylvania 5751 triple mica gray plate 5751, a pair of late '50s D-getter gray plate mil contract Sylvania 6CG7s, and four Shuguang 6550A-98s). You likely won't find a better, more desirable example of this classic amplifier. Includes the optional tube cage. Also, has its C-J box.
Asking $1500.00, OBO.
Happy to answer questions or show the amplifier.
Thanks!
