Quite rare to come by. This is a well-taken care of and great sounding power
amplifier in excellent working condition. Overall it looks great and
sounds fantastic. The Counterpoint SA-12 is a real "taste of the high
end" product. A beautifully smooth and sweet, yet detailed sounding amplifier with a
real shimmer to its sound. Tubes in the input stage (4x6922 Sovteks) and
MOSFET in the outputs.Great classic
amp from Counterpoint. Works perfectly. Very highly admired by Sam Tellig of
Stereophile and he compared it favorably to a Conrad Johnson MV-50 tube amp. Specifications Power output: 80 watts per channel into 8Ω
(stereo)/110 Watts per channel 4 ohms Frequency response: 5Hz to 100kHz Total harmonic distortion: 0.1% Damping factor: 89 Gain: 29 dB Signal to noise ratio: 92dB Valve complement: 4 x 6DJ8 (or 6922) Dimensions: 480 x 113 x 322mm Weight: 15kg *Note: Tubes are all in good shape, but fairly old/generic. I'd plan on rolling them - which I'm sure would be automatic anyway!
