Sold to Tom. Don Allen deluxe push pull 6L6 amp. If you are looking for an artisanal tube amp from one of the master builders this is a great amp. Don has retired now, so no new amps will be built. Amp is in excellent functional condition and great cosmetic condition as well, except for a few scrapes on the tops of the output transformers and one on the back of the power transformer.If you need a bit more power than the handful of watts in Don's SE amps this should provide a great option. Input/driver stage is Don's preferred GE 6BQ7a topology. Amp is self bias, so there are no controls to adjust, and no measurements to take. Just plug and play. Don used Fisher output and power transformers in this build and vintage Sprague coupling caps. Output tubes are Russian 6P3S-e, but any 6L6 or 5881 type can be used. No cord is included with the amp, as Don did not supply it with one. Any cord with an IEC connector will work fine.
