Up for sale is a recently purchased H-K Cit V amplifier. It sounds great and was modified by someone well known in the audio field for modifying vintage electronics. His name is Don Sachs(don@dsachsconsulting.com). He is as well known as Mike Samra and is a good friend with "The Mikeyman." It had a ton of things redone and done to it to make it what it is today. It is a fabulous sounding amp and very reliable. I personally went in a different direction as far as what I listen to(SET). It mates well with any tube preamp. I never tried it with a SS preamp but I was told it will be fine.Don Sachs can give all the details of what was done if interested but please email him only if you are a serious buyer. He is more than helpful. As you can see from the photos the paint is in very good condition and the speaker connectors were changed. They are for 4 and 8 ohms. You can put in the 16 ohm tap but you have to unsolder one of the others and replace it with the 16 ohm tap. The tape on the back is only for speaker tap identification. It can be removed if desired. The amp is very powerful for using 6L6's/KT 66's. I don't know the actual power output but I am sure it is at least 40 watts per channel. As in all upgrades the power supply was drastically made better. The rest you'll need that information from Don. I never opened up the amp so I am not taking pictures of the inside but there is lots of stuff in there I'm sure. There has to be. It works great! Price includes shipping to anywhere in the continental U.S. east coast only if the full amount is agreed on. Add $40 for the west coast continental U.S. This amp is heavy and built like a tank true to H-K fashion as with in the bigger brother the Cit II. Payment by money order(immediate shipping), cash(local pickup only), or check(must clear before shipping). No Pay Pal!
