For sale a very nicely made copy of the famous Korneff SE 45 amp. I've built about a dozen of these and the result never fails to satisfy. This one can accept a variety of input/rectifier tubes so you can tailor the sound to taste. 6N7/6J5/6P5 input/driver tubes will give different gain and tonal characteristics, for rectifier any 5V octal tube will work 5AR4, 5U4, 5Y3 etc there's many to choose from. Audio grade parts used throughout, Elna/F&T capacitors, Riken/Dale resistors, Paper in Oil coupling capacitors, pure copper wiring and excellent sounding vintage Tamura/Tamradio output transformers. Output is 1.5 watts into 8 ohm only and gain is somewhat low so speakers of 95db sensitivity or higher would be recommended. Runs nice and quietly and sounds very musical and natural. Ships with matching National Union 45s, 6N7 drivers and GE 5Y4 rectifier. Thanks for looking and any questions welcomed. Here's what the last buyer of one of these had to say: I have one of your Korneff 45 SET Clone amps and wanted to let you know how much I like it. The one I have is a 6BY5/6SN7/45 stereo amp using vintage Tamura/Tamradio output transformers. I have owned 45 SET amps from Korneff, Burgess, Moth and Yamamoto, and I can say with all honesty that your amp belongs in that group. The build quality and the sound are just excellent. I am using my favorite Emission Labs solid plate 45’s and Tungsol round plate 6SN7’s and your amp lets them play to their full potential. Kudos to you for your ability to create such a terrific sounding machine. The fact that you can do it for such a reasonable price is an very impressive and makes it a real bargain.
