PERFECT FOR EFFICIENT SPEAKERS AND/OR SMALL ROOMS! PRICE REDUCED! PLUS COMES WITH ALL TUBES! The tubes included in the LOW price are 2 NOS RCA 6L6, 2 RARE AND EXPENSIVE NOS JAN CG 6V6GTY (those tubes can go for 40 bucks), 1 RCA 5Y3, 1 Sylvania 5V4G, 5 various ECC81, 12at7, 12at7wa, 6201, 5965. This unit is just broken in. It has less than 100 hours of use and barely broken in. The buyer decided to trade it in for a more powerful kt88 RH amp.

The RH amp has a very involving sound that just sounds good here is a testimony from a very satisfied buyer of an "RH" amp.

"Listening to the amp and from all the amps I've listened to in the past, I was kind of blown away. Know it is something special and I will treasure it. Way more guts then the Leben CS300XS and has the magic too. Sweeter then then Line Magnetic."

I make these amps as a hobby, and sell them to help support my audio addiction. I am always building new ones and hope that more audiophiles can afford and also appreciate the difference between single ended vs push pull tube amplifiers. I don't really make money from the sale as the price barely covers the price of the parts and tubes.

And so, I have for sale this excellent sounding, newly built, single ended 6L6 / 6V6 stereo amp. The heart of the amp is the uber important output transformers which are NOS vintage units by Chicago Transformer designed for use with large phonographs/PA systems. With the USA made 6V6GT, and RCA 5Y3 rectifier it has a power output of about 5 watts per channel. With the supplied 6L6 and 5v4 the output will be about 7 watts. The driver tube is a 12at7 or ECC81. It has all new capacitors, 2 expensive PANASONIC DC LINK 500V power supply caps as well as film caps for the rest of the power supply. It is also built with new low noise 1 watt metal film resistors, wiring, sockets, input and output jacks and paint job. The transformers are all vintage units which were made in the "golden era" of vacuum tubes. If you are uninitiated in the single ended sound, I promise you will be blown away with the sound quality from this amp. Along with the total circuit rebuild, the unit is freshly painted with hammertone black and brown. Hammertone is a textured paint and shows as a dimpled appearance. Not a quick and dirty rebuild. User friendly features such as; on/off switch that is fused, IEC power socket for after market power cable that is grounded with x1/y2 safety caps, and new gold plated input jacks and speaker output jacks. So, essentially, the amp has been totally rebuilt with all new parts. Please read on for more information and don't hesitate to email me if you require more. Have a great day, and thank you for checking out my ad.

The all important tube circuit is a design that was developed by Alex Kitic of the famed RH amp. I have just sold another similarly designed RH84 except this model is made with better sounding and way more expensive Panasonic DC Link film capacitors in the main power supply. Indeed, I have built 8 RH type amps and have sold 6 of them to very happy listeners. In fact one buyer has bought 2 RH84 amps from me. In this iteration, the all important power supply, LCLC (inductor, capacitor, inductor, capacitor) uses Panasonic DC Link film capacitors (they are 2 black squares on the underside of the chassis pics). The 2 inductors are vintage units made in the USA by Stancor and Chicago Transformer. Why use old school inductors? In a few words, reliability, dependability, and sound quality. Indeed , the power supply has the suppleness and speed with the current capability to recreate every nuance, be it loud or soft, fast or hard, with detail and precision. A big plus for using film capacitors in the power supply is that they last a lifetime. No electrolytics in the power supply makes the amp faster and more dynamic. And besides this, all the brand new components in the amp are hardwired, point to point, and still breaking in. Check the pics of the underside showing the meticulous, time consuming point to point wiring, expert soldering, and the high quality capacitors and resistors. The power tubes are operating in class A with cathode bias for about 7 watts of super clean sound for the 6L6 and a 5AR4 rectifier. It will produce about 5 watts per channel with the supplied 6V6 and a 5Y3 rectifier. The cathode bias is achieved with a 200 ohm aluminum encased wirewound resistor bypassed with an excellent sounding Panasonic capacitor. This little amp has amazing sound quality equal to or better than other SE amps such as Decware at less than half the price! Operating in Single Ended Pentode Class A with ultra short signal path for minimal alteration of the sound. And the sound quality is still developing as it has about 20 hours of total playing time. The circuit design is by Alex Kittic and has been copied by thousands of DIY'ers all over the world. The unique aspect of this design is the use of "local feedback" vs. "global negative feedback" that is used in almost all other audio amplifiers. The use of local fb sidesteps many of the ills of "global negative feedback" which requires compensation networks to reduce phase problems. This and an excellent sounding tube combination makes for an superb sounding single ended amplifer. This is the eighth RH amp that I have built and they all sound excellent, but truthfully, the all film cap power supply makes this amp a notch above the rest.

If you have not heard a Single Ended tube amp you are in for a treat. The only issue is the need for some efficient speakers like JBL or Altec Lansing, or Klipsch. This amp performs well with my JBL L112 speakers which are 91db efficient.

What sets Single ended tube amps, whether they use very expensive triodes like a 300B or 845 or even a 2A3, or if they use classic pentodes like 6V6, EL84, 6L6, 6550, KT88, EL34, etc. is the uncanny ability to achieve a very realistic sound presentation. Voices, instruments, sound effects, have an uncanny you are there quality that can evoke a genuine emotional response to the music. This aspect of home audio is usually available in big bucks audiophile systems. The amp is super quiet with no extraneous sounds emanating from the speakers which makes it an excellent partner for horn type speakers. You have not heard audiophile sound until you have heard a single ended tube amp. These amps have the ability to transport you into the music. Your recordings will sound like they never have, with heretofore, unheard of elements coming to the fore. The kick drum is thumping in your gut, cymbals have that metallic bite and reverberation and the vocalist sounds like she is standing in your room for a personal concert! In other words each element in the sound track has its own space. Truly, audiophile quality amplification at a beer budget price. Don't let its small size fool you as the saying goes, great things come in small packages Thank you, for reading the complete text and visiting my sale.

Please remember that this amp is sold strictly as is. Caution is required as tubes are hot and there is no bottom cover to the amplifier. Just remember if you are into headbanging, window rattling, neighbors phoning the police, loudness, this amp is definitely not your cup of tea. But if you are looking for a great sounding little amp for your den or bedroom this will make a Bose sound like pocket transistor radio in comparison and probably cost less and have a better resale value. Although this amp is built to extremely high standards and with the utmost of care it is sold strictly as is. Thank you very much for reading my ad. I have included pictures of my latest build; the KRENUM IMPERIUM.
