Custom built 2A3 mono blocs with Electra print partial silver OPT's, circuit is the "baby Ongaku" as shown in the sound practices article by Frank Reps, google baby Ongaku and you can see the article, this circuit was designed by Gordon Rankin if memory serves me right. Love these amps but I have had to move my big corner bass horns out for more room and need more watts. These amps come with multiple high end tubes, one matched pair of 2001 JJ 2A3-40 (the pre 2003 JJ 2A3 are much much better sounding than post 2003) these tubes have 400 to 450 hours total on them, also included is a matched pair of KR 2A3 that have about 150-200 hours on them, the rectifier tubes are NOS RCA Jan 5U4G,also has pair of Phillips 5R4GYS rectifier tubes,and driver tubes are ECC 81 one matched pair of yellow label Mullard that have traditional Mullard sound, and one matched pair of Telefunken. With this assortment of tubes you can tailor the sound to your own taste, the JJ 2A3-40 sound like 300b's and you can put in the KR and have a regular 2A3 sound with the Mullards, or you can put in the Telefunken's with the KR's and the amps sound like the best 45 amps I have heard, these amps are really fun to roll tubes and change the sound so it never gets old, wish I could using these amps but speaker size dictates. I have over $900 in just these tubes so the price is fair with the Electra Print partial silver OPT's. The chassis are polished (the chrome shop that did the polishing did a decent job but not perfect) and then they were clear powder coated to prevent smudging. As I remember these amps are running at about 375 volts at the plates so NOS 2A3's won't work well, Jack at Electra Print told me these OPT's wont saturate till 90ma so you could make them 300b amps but why do that when you have the JJ tubes, they are 300b's with 2.5 amp filaments.
