Selling a Sherwood S-5000
It is being sold without tubes, but is the 7189 Output/5AR4 rectifier version.
Cosmetically in good shape and electronically functional shape.I got it from a friend who had not used it in 20 years. Plugged it into my Variac and brought it up to 115v slowly over a day.
I plugged my iPhone into the TV/Aux channel.
I only had one pair of real 7189 so i played each side individually and both channels are functional. Bass/Treble/Balance works.
It sounded good, but at its age and original condition,
I'm sure it needs a general maintenance/filter caps/etc.
It looks unmolested and in original condition inside. I'm in Ma. but travel throughout New England a couple time s a month so a meeting can possibly be arranged for a local buyer. It's for sale at $269 and due to its age, sold AS-IS
I charge ACTUAL shipping (would love to trade for 2 - Sherwood S-1000(7189/6BQ5/EL84 version) amps or one S-1000+ cash, if anyone had these.)
