For sale is a wonderful and unique single ended 2A3 amplifier with a tube regulated power supply, built in 2011 by Scott Gerus of Gerus Audio (www.300bamps.com).I listed this once before but took down the ad since it is such a great performer and I really like it. I'm sad to pass it on but financial reality says I need to. This amplifier features the 2A3 tube in a single ended circuit for 3.5 watts per channel. It’s based loosely on the Western Electric 91a theater amplifier and sounds very good with a big soundstage, superb tonality and no noise or naughty issues of any kind. The amp uses the following tubes: 2A3 power tubes, 6J7G input tubes, 5U4G rectifier, and the regulated power section consists of 6SA7, 6SL7, 0A3, 0B3. The 0B3 sits on the back of the amplifier under the cover. One unique and very cool feature of this amplifier are dual speaker outputs, switchable on the fly. This makes it simple to evaluate speakers and has been fun to play with. More info an pics can be seen on my hifi website at: http://www.glowinthedarkaudio.com/gerus-2a3.html This is a large amplifier and will be packed with extreme care for safe arrival. That said, local pickup (or nearby delivery) in the Washington DC metro area is definitely preferred! Specs are:
