I'm selling my beloved custom Darling amplifier to help finance another musical endeavor. On this amp, I gathered the chassis and transformers and commissioned the amp build from Tom McNally. Its one of the best sounding amps I've owned and I've kept it for several years now. This has vintage Tamradio Tamura power and output transformers that I harvested from a broken TC500a. The 12sl7 is a tung sol round plate. The 1626 have a few hundred hours on them and are fine, but I have a lot of 1626 and I'm including another fresh new pair of power tubes with the amp giving the buyer a lifetime supply. RCA early 1940s. The chassis on this amp is super heavy duty everything, and I had handles put on for easy of movement. All hand wired, no circuit boards and tube rectified. Captured power cord. This amp is a superb detail freak but still has tons of warmth and ease. Its bested a lot of much higher dollar gear in the past. One of a kind. 7/10 for whatever smudge or swirl in the stainless might offend. More pics, etc here: http://www.glowinthedarkaudio.com/darling-1626.html Questions welcomed, thanks for looking.
