These powerful 150 watts per channel tube power amps are a creation of American circuit designer Bruce Rozenblit. For output tubes they use the EL-509 sweep tube. The sound is transparent and full, with a great sense of depth. They are slightly warm sounding, but not the classic Conrad Johnson degree of tube warmth. There is an impedance setting switch on the back of each amp, and there is a tube balancing pot and meter on the front of each.The tubes are JJ's and have a few hundred hours on them. The EL-509 tube is a robust and long-lasting tube, is readily available, and is fairly inexpensive for a power output tube. I have couple of spares which I will include. These units were recently checked over by DTS Audio in Hamilton. The amps have small nicks and some scratches on the aluminum cases, but they are industrial-looking pieces of gear anyway, and Rozenblit did not put money into making them look beautiful. If you are looking for a very powerful quality tube amp that doesn't cost the earth, this pair is a prime contender.
