Tube Audio Labs WE91A 2A3 custom SET amp. With James transformers. Great sounding single ended amp utilizing the classic Western Electric 91A circuit. Buy this for the sound, not the looks.NOTE: has whispery background hum level (on my 98db efficient speakers) that the hum pots minimize but don't eliminate. for me, the hum is not noticeable when music is playing. but for the totally hum averse, this is not your amp.. The amp was just gone thru and serviced by a local tube amp builder - he upgraded some of the solders connections from those shown in the pre-service wiring photo. The parts alone in this amp were represented to have cost more than $950. Min at Tube Audio Labs can still perform future work on the amp if necessary. Rating at 7 due to DIY nature and the background hum. See photos for physical condition. Tubes included. The 2A3s included with the amp will be EH Electo-Harmonix brand. Of course, single ended amps work best with efficient speakers. With volume control. The source selector is not hooked up. Vocals are liquid. I'm glad the amp has a semi modern sound. I was afraid (it being a WE91A) it would be a little dark or very traditional classic tube sound.
