Can you hear the difference in the acoustics between Carnegie Hall and those at La Scalla? Do you trust your ears? If yes to both, then read on. Do you understand the specs of hardware or when reviewers talk about equipment design, and how it might sound in your system? No? I don't either. Ads for audio hardware irritate me. They are either vague, simplistic or they lie. If vague, it is impossible to imagine the synergy that might occur in my system with the new hardware; if they are simplistic, they are insulting; if the ads lie, I move on. I will make it simple: this is a conservatively rated 15w/channel SET Class A amplifier driven by a single triode tube that powers a single 845 output tube. The output transformer and the other parts are the best in the business. The design is simple and effective making this amp worth the initial $9k and now more so at $6k. Note that there is a lifetime(!) guarantee on the amp (not the tubes). The 845 output tube is similar in design and power to the 211, both are high power tubes known for their lack of distortion and power-- a rare combination. In an audio amp, the 845 tube sounds really good, better if you can hear (and appreciate!) the difference between the acoustics in Carnigie Hall and La Scalla. If you really can hear the difference between these two halls and are interested in auditioning this amp in your system, then email me and we can talk specs if you want (or not), design (or not), parts (or not), or anything else towards the purchase of this amp. I allow in-home auditions for 2 weeks. Specs mean nothing if it sounds bad in your system. If you don't like it, send it back for a full refund (less shipping), no questions asked. You can't lose. All tubes are virtually new (have 98% of their life left); the amp has a lifetime warranty on parts (except tubes), unheard-of in the business. Trust your ears, not the hype. Please: serious inquiries only. No tire kickers, braggarts or the Acoustically Deaf. Please don't waste my time; I wrote the ad this way so that I do not waste yours.
