AUDIO RESEARCH CD2 CD Player - USED - $650This used Audio Research CD2 is about 16 years old and is in good shape. Traded in by the original owner, it is complete working order. The display is very good (they can get weak with use) and this has good brightness except for the repeat track symbol which is hard to see (I had to get up fairly close to the player to see it - of course my nearsightedness and how small the repeat symbol is does not help!). We played this for a week or so and it worked perfectly without a skip or any other hiccups. It comes with remote, manual, and service paperwork. In 2004 this player was serviced by Audio Research for a drawer sticking issue. While in for service, Audio Research found and repaired a DC offset issue in one channel (see pic of paperwork which will come with the player). For around $700, this is a very nice sounding CD player and is well built (and highly rated in its day - see the link to the Stereophile review) Cosmetically it has some small scratches on the top cover (see pics) and some niks on the front faceplate (around the drawer from when the player had the issue with the drawer I would assume - again see pics).
