Thanks Ike! You're going to love this Audio-gd CD-7FV transport...

I'm selling my Audio-gd CD-7FV transport for $550 obo. I purchased the Audio-gd CD-7FV new when I purchased my Audio-gd Reference 7.1 DAC. I compared the sonics of the Audio-gd CD-7FV transport vs the sonics of the tubed Goldnote Stibbert CD player used as a transport when used with the Audio-gd Reference 7.1 DAC for over 6 months, before making any final decisions on which unit I should sell. Both the Audio-gd CD-7FV transport and the tubed Goldnote Stibbert CD player used as a transport performed very good sonically. In the end their sonic differences could mainly be explained as being the same differences between a good SET amp (Goldnote Stibbert) vs a good solid state amp (Audio-gd CD-7FV)!

I felt in my audio system, which consists of a Mastersound Reference 845, integrated SET amp with Dayton PS220-8 "fullrange" drivers loaded in Sachiko double-back-loaded horns, with Fostex T900a super-tweeters, the Goldnote Stibbert / Audio-gd Reference 7.1 DAC combo had better system synergy! But understand this; the Goldnote Stibbert cost $6K vs the Audio-gd CD-7FV's cost of only $1150. So it took an audio component that cost 5x more than the Audio-gd CD-7FV to outperform it sonically! Just before posting this AD I brought out the Audio-gd CD-7FV once again to be sure my original assessment of using Goldnote Stibbert CD player as a transport with my Audio-gd Reference 7.1 DAC was the one that had better system synergy in my audio system and I reconfirmed my previous decision!

So I've now decided to sell my Audio-gd CD-7FV. I have two brand new, in-box, spare lasers that I'll include with the Audio-gd CD-7FV transport! I also have the remote control and the original box. I searched thoroughly but I cannot locate the original manual or paperwork! Let me reiterate this Audio-gd CD-7FV is an excellent sounding and looking transport that was only bested sonically by the 5x more expensive, $6K, tubed, Goldnote Stibbert CD player being used as a transport. Look at the photos and I'm sure you'll agree that with it's level of build quality, if this Audio-gd CD-7FV transport was made in America it would cost at least $5K!

I'm sure in many other audio systems I and others might actually prefer the Audio-gd to the Goldnote sonically. But in my system I happen to prefer the Goldnote's more "SET" type of sound! As I'm sure you all know it's all about system synergy and the Goldnote Stibbert / Audio-gd Reference 7.1 DAC combo just has better synergy in my audio system! So if you're interested please send me an email at: thetubeguy1954@yahoo.com While I put $550 obo and will readily accept a decent counter-offer -- please no low ball offers, ok?

NOTE: If paying via Paypal the buyer is responsible for all Paypal costs. All photos are for visual purposes only. I don't have a camera to take photos of the actual unit. By while I selected VERY GOOD to be on the safe side, IMHO this unit looks like new and performs flawlessly!
