It’s time to see some of my better equipment off to new homes in order to help fund new Maggies. In this ad I am selling my Azur 840c CD player by Cambridge Audio. See their website for details and enjoy many positive reviews on the web. My summary of the sound of this solidly built machine is that it is tonally very accurate while maintaining musicality.
The 840c has the ability to play CDs conventionally, act as a transport for another DAC, or its excellent internal DAC can operate in stand-alone mode. For example, use it to play music files stored on your computer’s hard drive, or stream info from a network player such as I did using a Squeezebox or similar device.
I am suggesting an 8 rating to be fair. Maybe a 9 as I do not see any imperfections. This unit has low hours and was used almost exclusively as a DAC. Black finish. It has been properly cared for. I will ship in its original boxes and packaging, plus any other shipping preferences of the buyer. Includes the remote and manual of course… all in good condition as well.
