NEW LOWER PRICE! NEW LOWER PRICE! NEW LOWER PRICE! NEW LOWER PRICE! I'm selling a GoldNote Stibbert CDP / Transport. This innovative and unconventional CD Player is a tube-based state-of-the-art CDP / Transport that provides outstanding and the most analogue sounding digital performance I've heard. It employs a double chassis completely isolated by four conical springs. The chassis is made of a high-density steel alloy treated with a diamagnetic black polyvinyl paint. The Stibbert's new analog output stage is based on two 6922 tubes ---{I prefer using the Russian Voskhod "rocket logo" 6H23n tubes and I'll even include an additional NOS pair of the 6H23n tubes with the sale}--- this stage uses a true symmetrically balanced tube design to achieve the highest sonic performance. In an effort to increase it's sonic performance even further I've replaced the four stock metal isolation columns with $1000 after market Sound Fusion heavy-duty isolation columns that work much better and really look a lot better too, so it's a win-win upgrade. The main plinth of the Stibbert chassis is made of a 20mm-thick black acrylic ---{there are some swirls in the black acrylic from my trying to keep clean by wiping the dust off}--- it's shaped to resemble a Ferrari Formula 1© steering wheel. GoldNote claims it's uniquely curved shape significantly increases the design’s structural rigidity, virtually eliminating vibration feedback. There's also a clear piece of acrylic on the lower part of the chassis ---{this also has some minor swirls from dusting it, like the top black piece does} Photo Descriptions: 1) This top shows the actual GoldNote Stibbert for sale and how it looks with the w/Sound Fusion isolation columns installed in my system. 2) This is a photo shows how the Stibbert looks from the rear. In this photo you can see how the Stibbert looked before I installed the Sound Fusion after-market isolation columns. There's a huge difference between the Sound Fusion isolation columns and the original thin silver isolation columns installed, right? 3) This is a photo of the Stibbert with the top of the chassis removed. If you look at the back right-hand side, you'll see the two tubes sitting right in front of the four yellow capacitors. 4) The photo shows you another option for purchasing the Stibbert. If you so choose, you can purchase the Stibbert as it looks in this photo, i.e., it will be sans the isolation columns & platform it's normally mounted to! So if you'd like, you can purchase just the Stibbert with it's remote! I'll sell the CDP / transport &, remote for only $1000. This is a very viable option as there are threads with people claiming the Stibbert sounds better without the Stibbert's isolation platform! Instead they use just the Stibbert chassis like in my photo with three Machina Dynamica's Baby Promethean Mini Isolators (http://www.machinadynamica.com/machina25.htm) underneath the chassis and then a piece of wood on top of them & finally the Stibbert on top of the wood. Some stop there. Check out the last photo and you'll see an OPPO CDP setup exactly like I'm describing for the Stibbert. Doing it like this will save you $500! Still some others prefer to go even further and place three of Herbie's Iso-Cups (http://herbiesaudiolab.net/special.htm) and finally another piece of wood on top of those three Iso-Cups. 5) This photo is of the Sound Fusion after-market isolation columns and how they looked when they arrived. They'll be packaged in their original box when shipped to the buyer. 6) This is only for illustrative purposes. It shows how the Stibbert's chassis can be setup with three Machina Dynamica's Baby Promethean Mini Isolators and a piece of wood. It would look very similar to the OPPO in the photo. Plus it can save the buyer $500 because I'm willing to sell just the Stibbert chassis with it's remote ---{sans the isolation columns & platform the Stibbert's chassis normally mounted to}--- for only $1000. My $1400 selling price, is a price I won't go much lower than, but it cannot hurt to make an offer! This is a $5000 CDP new so you'll be getting a heck of a lot of CDP for the money. Plus you're getting the $1000 Sound Fusion isolation columns thrown in! Which makes it a $6K deal. I selected 8 -very good, because of how picky some buyers are. But with the exception of some swirls in the acrylic from my trying to keep it clean by dusting it off, I think it's excellent shape! Send any questions you might have to my email at: thetubeguy1954@yahoo.com or call me at: (407) 207-4364 Buyer pays shipping, insurance & 3% PayPal charges. Because this is a used piece of audio equipment being sold by a private seller it's being sold "as-is" with no returns accepted. But that said, both the CDP and remote are functioning just as they should be with all lights and buttons working as they should.
