I had moved back to separates some time ago, but kept this great piece to put occasionally in other rooms, to demo speakers, etc. Currently have it making some lovely music with Sonus Faber Concertino's. But hasn't really been used much overall, so time to offer it up. I would - in all of about 5 minutes - set up speakers, hook them up to this, plug in power, and have music through Roon/Tidal or the Polaris' internal library. And, sounding very very good! My relatively low price reflects two things: 1) I am second owner, and 2) when I installed a 1TB SSD inside, a couple mounting screws for the drive cage were stripped; two screws still holding it in fine, can't see anything outside, and functionality is fine. Just wanted to be completely transparent. The 7 rating is definitely conservative, reflecting the stripped screws as well. An additional note is that the unit works best with USB 2.0 external drives or sticks; I had some delays on track switching in Lightning DS with a USB 3.0 stick, but no issues with a USB 2.0 HDD and USB 2.0 stick. The internal SSD has a good amount of music on it, a bit under 1,000 tracks; and still space for a lot more. But I generally listened via Roon and Tidal (the Lightning DS interface is pretty good, but I like Roon/Tidal much better). My asking price includes shipping - US sale only please - and PayPal fees.
