For sale is our dealer demonstration unit of the Abbingdon Music Research (AMR) AM-777 integrated amplifier. We're adjusted our price to be a ridiculous steal of a deal to a lucky customer. This unit is being offered up waaaaaaaaaaay below dealer costs, even more so once free, fully insured shipping within the continental USA (up to $100+ savings) and eating all paypal/credit card fees as well at our sale price are factored in.
This unit is a silver chassis unit and is in exceptional, as new condition. It has low hours of use and comes with all original packing materials, etc. just as a brand new, sealed unit would. In addition to coming with the full manufacturer’s warranty on this, we will also cover this unit under our “Double the Manufacturer’s Warranty” policy that usually only applies to brand new, sealed units purchased on our website. This easily rates a 9/10 on the Audiogon scale, but we’re going to put 8/10 on it just to be conservative. Heck it still has the factory plastic covering the LCD display! I honestly can't find any marks on it. But putting an 8 just to be conservative.
Sonically this is a ridiculously great sounding integrated amplifier. It’s a bit more neutral sounding than the no longer imported AM-77 amp. But it’s still a tube hybrid design and has the enhanced tonal characteristics that a truly reference tube hybrid design can convey. It ticks all the boxes of something significantly more expensive than its MSRP price, let alone our sale price. At full MSRP, it's a steal compared to everything else we put up against it. Amazing imaging and soundstage... well thought out engineering under the hood with top shelf parts used throughout....
This dealer demo unit is priced significantly below what we paid for it to encourage a quick sale. We’re trying to make it as much of a no brainer purchase as possible for someone out there that wants world class sound for a steal of a price. A big win for you as the customer.

OptiGain®
AMR’s unique OptiGain® circuit is an unorthodox approach to amplifier circuit design that enables the AMR range of pre-main amplifiers to preserve the magical spirit of the music signal. The AM-777 maintains this tradition: with OptiGain® which is comprised of two-stages: first is a Single Ended Triode (SET) valve-stage without any negative feedback. The second section is a pure-power buffer stage using bi-polar technology to amplify the current to drive mainstream speakers with aplomb.
OptiValve®
The analogue section of the AM-777 utilises AMR’s OptiValve® analogue stage with zero negative feedback and the 6H1n-EB valve. This is a premium version for long life with improved mechanical construction.
With no operational amplifiers or solid-state devices, this is a major factor behind why the AM-777 sounds so organic and “valve-like” that it can be compared to the finest SET amplifiers.
OptiUSB® Input
AMR’s design team has developed a USB DAC solution and maximised its potential for digital audio playback.
