This is a custom Burgess 45 SET based on the JE Labs "Simple 45" circuit with Hashimoto HC-507U output transformers and V-Cap coupling caps. This amp easily best a Yamamoto 45 and and custom 45 amp I had (a Korneff clone). I bought it from the original owner 4-5 months ago who paid $3000 for it. It is an integrated with three inputs and a high-quality stepped attenuator. It is in extremely good condition. The top plate is about perfect including the silk-screening. The wood face has a very small nick on the top right but I think that was there in manufacture because the finish is applied over it. It is acceptably quiet but not dead-silent on my 100 dB/W speakers. It has less noise than the Fi 2A3 monos I had some time ago. Of course, AC-heated DH-SET amps often have a bit of hum. Despite that it has been the best of about seven low-power DH-SET amps I've used on these speakers. I am just going to clean some house and go in a different direction. At my asking price I will include a very nice matched pair of globe 45s I paid about $200 for. I found these a bit more liquid even than the EML mesh 45s, which I also have for sale.
