Cleaning the cable house, offering up some good performers for not big $.* Lacey Acoustics 1.5M XLR These were bought on Audiogon to try between my NAD M51 DAC and Stax tube headphone amp. Incredible synergy with that combo, transparent and spacious as heck! But when I replaced both amp and DAC, these became too bright in that (all solid state) system. In the right system these interconnects are incredible, they beat out Cardas Clear Light and Telluriium Q Black in mine (both since sold)! These definitely are not for already clinical or bright systems, but can be stunning in a softer one. $90. * Downsize Audio 20" RCA They look like ribbons but aren't. Josh from Downsize made these for me as part of a barter deal (along with several other cables), they are thin gauge wires equally spaced in the jacket. Nice design, with very good sound; Josh had tried out a lot of various conductor materials, gauging, spacing, etc., and just makes a good sounding cable. I'd keep these for use in a secondary system, but they weren't long enough. $50 * Cardas DIY AES/EBU 1M Nice DIY build using Cardas digital cable. No longer using AES/EBU connection, so available. $50 * Downsize Audio digitial 1M RCA Another custom-made cable bartered with Josh. Silver coax design, and lovely to look at (like the blue RCA's). $50. * Ven Haus Pulsar digital 1.25M RCA Copper cable, Eichmann connectors. $50 * Virtue Audio Nirvana speaker cables 2M spades Well-built no-nonsense cables, I tried them out but never actually used them ongoing; they were too "visible" to use with my family room system, wife said they couldn't stay out. Have some Downsize copper ribbon/foil cables and Black Cat silver cables I prefer in my main system. $70. All prices include shipping at asking price, and no fees for PayPal. US Only please. FYI, I can send a picture for those items without one. Thanks, Todd - necroscope
