Teflon tape Description These 2 pairs of custom single-ended interconnects are shielded and about 16 inches in length not counting the length off of the plugs. As can be seen from the picture, the finished product has small lumps. These lumps are the result of the copper shield caving in some spots but it does affect performance. Beware of advertising of silver interconnects where it’s really silver plated copper. My cables are 100 percent Cardas single-stranded silver, insulated with Teflon, cotton piping, and raw natural cotton. If you’re looking for rather short interconnects, these should be seriously considered. They are handcrafted and provide great performance. The price is $360 for both pairs or $190 per single pair.
The shielding is designed to make contact with the source, and are labeled to reflect this. For example, when connecting a preamp to a power amp, the source end of the cable connects to the pre-amp with the unlabeled end connecting to the power amp. The ascetics of these cables are less than perfect, but the craftsmanship and sound are 100 percent.
