FS: Denon reels loaded with Quantegy 457 tape.As shown. A pair of Denon brand reels. Both reels are in exceptionally clean condition. Only a couple of very minor imperfections and blemishes. Both are cosmetically a 9/10. Very clean and look almost like new. Each one is loaded with a roll of 2003 vintage (meaning no Sticky Shed) Quantegy # 457 tape. They are quarter inch back coated, 3600' footers. Very high performance tape meant only for high end consumer or pro tapes. If you are running a pre 1980 deck, this tape will be very difficult to work with and will sound muffled due to its very high bias requirements. If you have an adjustable bias deck, this tape can take a very powerful input with minimal distortion and print through. Has a very rich and deep sound. Very hard to come by. Both tapes are leadered on both ends (which required one pass at play speed-on a deck that was cleaned and demagged at the time). So the tape is truly only one pass and otherwise virgin-meaning nothing has ever been recorded on them. And both come in the hard to find gray color plastic tape care cases. Reels, tape, case.
