For sale is a working and lovely sounding Benz Micro Ebony H. It is a high output moving coil cartridge (2.5mv output). Cartridge comes with original wood case and spec sheet.I am the second owner of this cartridge, which spent most of its life mounted to a Basis 2500 turntable. I used the cart on my 12" Ortofon for maybe 50 hours and back in the box it went. Were it not for other gear to pay for I would hold on to this lovely cartridge. I have no idea how many hours the first owner logged. Retail on this cart was $3,500. Not sure if Benz Micro carts are being made again but either way you are snagging a bargain based on the performance. Use the cart till a retip is needed and then have SoundSmith install a new stylus/cantilever for $500 or under and you will essentially have a new Benz Micro Ebony for less than half the retail cost! There might even be a trade-in program for this cart and your trade-in value might be in excess of what I am asking!? Shipping in the US and Canada.
