This is a pair of very well regarded Lundahl LL1933 MC transformers installed in a good looking, compact aluminum housing. Each transformer has a good quality Japanese toggle switch installed on it allowing the user to choose between 1:8 or 1:16 stepup The gold RCA jacks and wiring are of good quality, with the Input and Output RCAs and ground terminal mounted on the back plate. This unit was assembled by Dan Santoni of DTS Audio Electronics in Canada, who assembles custom components under the "Black Dog" name. The asking price is less than the cost of the transformers, and obviously much less the cost of the RCAs, wiring, switches, and labor to put the unit together.
It is less than a year old, dead quiet, and sounds very good. I am selling as trying out different types of MC transformers, and active step up devices. There is additonal information on the quality of these transformers if you do a Google search. Pics to come
