(matched to less than 0.5% tolerances) :Mundorf and Nichicon MKP and EL capacitors. :Gold plated tube bases. :PCB lines re arrangement to allow shorter wiring. :New relay arrangement and protection to allow switching between MM/MC input without turning the unit off, although lowering of volume control is advisable. :10mm thick face plate on the power supply unit. :New star grounding arrangement. :Better quality power cables between main unit and PCB (First comments from a customer in Greece: By comparison the Reference wins easily in every respect. HF sounds more open, clear and airy, more delicate . Same for the lows, the reference goes lower with more extension, slam and control. Voices are more natural and unforced as is its dynamic range and speed. But it is not only that, it is the music as a whole that comes more natural and real. Unforced and with almost endless headroom. It is really in a different class .The new components and circuit changes have really done what I was expecting. I believe this is a TRUE Class A phono preamp. It has an unusual ability to expose less than “perfect” tubes, cables etc….. We ended using some of our best NOS tubes from Mullard,Telefunken, Raytheon (both USA and Japanese made) and Brimar. Cables were all custom-made 7N Cu. Every recording we tried had some new information to us and the 3D soundstage was truly amazing with rock solid and stable imaging. Over 50 units have been sold and there is a small waiting list so call now and reserve your own unit. We've been listening to our own unit for a short time now and I don't know how the guys in Cyprus did it but the improvements in dynamics, bass control ans slam and life-like images is amazing!
