Up for sale is a DIY power cable constructed with NeoTech IEC female connector model NC-P302 and NeoTech NC-P311 (non gold plated) male plug.If you are unfamiliar with these products please check the following comments posted by other inmates here: http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/cables/messages/16/160054.html "After working with them, I like them a lot. The shells look cheap but the innards are made well and easy to work with." https://www.audioasylum.com/audio/cables/messages/15/159693.html Though interestingly and in contrast to the above response this inmate initially found these connectors "difficult to work with", he went on to say, "they sound great". Fortunately the work has already been done and now just enjoy the benefits of an already assembled DIY power cable! I used this on an outboard DAC with notable improvements in clarity and a lower noise floor over the cheapo stock power cord. Obviously "your mileage may vary" depending on your application and existing AC power quality. The specifications of the actual wire used in this cable are as follows: 4 runs of military-spec 12 AWG silver plated copper 19/25 stranded conductors. The cord has been constructed using what's known as the "Milloit braid," after Henry Albert Milloit
who invented and patented this type of braid for the Perfection Mica Company back in 1960
(see patent no. 2,958,724). Kimber Kable was able to secure a patent on the exact same braid,
which they trademarked as Orthogonal GyroQuadratic. However that patent is unenforceable due to the prior Milloit patent. There's a similar power cord currently selling on Audiogon for $179; buy this one and save over $120! My asking price includes PayPal and continental US shipping* West Coast shipping will please add $5.00. Please check my feedback and buy with confidence. Thanks!
