The perfect 21st Century audio device . It bridges both the analog and digital worlds without redundant or obsolete features. Digitally it contains a 24/96 USB Dac ( Windows, Mac) to upgrade your computer's built in audio plus unusually the ability to digitize both vinyl and line sources ( TV, computer audio, FM, casette etc_) on your computer via the same USB connection. On the analog side it has a very high quality phono amplifier with both MM and MC options for use with any turntable as well as a switchable line input . Output is either through the purpose built discrete headphone amplifier or RCA line output to an external amp or power speakers. This is all contained inside a very compact metal case that fits anywhere without taking up valuable space. Lots and lots of rave reviews online . Original retail was $525 US.
The only potential improvement is an upgraded power supply which I am including as a bonus. Conservatively rated as 8/10 due to some mild discolouration on top and a few faint marks.
