I have a wonderful Mcintosh C24 preamp for sale. This unit is in very good condition cosmetically and great condition electronically. It has been recently serviced and is in 100% good working condition. The sound is warm and robust. The controls and switches all work and they are QUIET. This unit is a gem for anyone looking for a classic Mcintosh solid state preamp. I have listed the condition as "good" only due to the age of this item.I have received a couple of calls recently asking me why I didn't take pictures of the C24 powered on. Look again - I did. The C24 preamp does not have a backlighted panel. This wasn't a feature until the C26 model. But if you are a vinyl guy, the phono stage is excellent; much better than the C22 and later C26, C27 and C28 models. The unit was recently serviced by a long standing and well respected pro audio repair shop where the following services were performed:
- all electrolytic capacitors replaced
- power supply diodes replaced
- cleaned all controls
