This used Joule-Electra all tube LA-100MKIII Line stage preamp with Joule Electra all tube OPS-1 MM/MC phono stage is in excellent condition though around 10 years of age. Great bodied tone and big soundstage are what this preamp is known for. We have gone through the preamp and phono stage inside and out - tubes are all good and we have biased to factory specs (I am a long time Joule-Electra retailer and service and maintain Joule gear). This Joule LA-100 & OPS-1 set-up is similar to what a Joule LAP-100 preamp is like, except here the OPS-1 phono stage is outboard (connects to the line stage via an umbilical for power supply) where in a LAP-100 the phono stage is inside the main chassis and the power supply is out board. I will NOT sell the LA-100MKII line stage without the OPS-1 (though the preamp can be used without it)... though if you already have a LA-100MKIII with the power supply umbilical jack on it (like this LA-100MKIII has) - I will consider selling the OPS-1 separately. Note that the Joule OPS-1 phono stage in MM mode is not very high gain - best suited to MC carts that are NOT very low in output. The additional set inputs shown on the phono preamp are used to plug in RCA plugs with loading resistors in them to drop the loading of the phono preamp from the nominal 47Kohm value.
